Here Is Why Chinese Apps are banned in india

As we all have witnessed in the past few months, The government of India is banning chinese apps irrespective of its popularity and user base. Banning of apps is a very big and tough decision for the democratic country like India. We did some research in this field and here are some of the conclusions.

Mindset of people about china:

I don't know if you think the same or not but whenever it comes to the threat to data security or data safety, the first name comes to our mind is china, have you ever imagined why only china? Why not USA, why not korea? This mindset is not only in india but there are tonnes of countries who suspect china or barely deal with chinese apps.

Any country on globe who are a bit strict about their policies, always have very strained relations with china, like we can take a very fresh example of  US banning Huawei, huawei is a multibillion dollar company which gives a very tough competition to samsung, is banned like nothing! US is a developed country and if they take these types of decision which can make a huge loss to themselves like hurdles in 5g development process etc, is itself is an indication that there is something  hidden about china which we never knew!

The real problem with china:

If you are an active web person, then you have somehow or somewhere encountered some privacy policy pages which you have checked with your eyes closed. Anything on app store or playstore or anywhere have some policies, here is the main problem with chinese apps policies, there are  different weird or strange rules which are only in china nowhere else, the rules are very strange itself.

In 2017 there was a law passed in china called National Intelligence Law(NIL), All the apps which are developed in china or published in china comes under this law or are forced to follow this law.

Under this law for the app developer in china it is mandatory to share the information collected by the apps with the chinese government. Data is something which every apps collects from their users, but they are encrypted and stored at safe servers but this is not the case in china due to NIL.

For non chinese apps, if they leak their data they have to come to court and have to share the appropriate cause, if they are failed to do so then they have to pay the decided amount as a fine. BUT BUT BUT, here is a twist! If the data from any part of the world, go to the chinese servers, it becomes chinese government's data, they can do anything they want from that data, there is no court who can ask questions, no judiciary! The chinese government says that they are taking these data for hacking and spying purposes which is ok but china is not the country to be trusted.

Why India and other countries banned chines apps?:

As I have stated about NIL, chinese government can take the data whenever it wants without any prior notice, the countries suspect china that it can misuse that data against them. For example, PUBG has microphone permission enabled, if the chinese government want to hear any particular conversation between the players playing the game, they can hear that without any problem. They can hear any conversation about our countries secrets thorough any military officials, which is very strange.

That is why many countries banned chinese apps for prior protection which I think is a very good step for our development.
