By default the names are same for both the band only they have 5G and 2.4G at the last of their names.

You should have device which are enable to connect to the 5GHz band, most of the smartphones and wifi cards are capable. Then you should search for the wifi nearby there will be shown your router, if it shows only one connection by the name of your router then it is 2.4Ghz or it has both the bands.
